Report on Utah PuppetFest 2010

Thank you to everyone who made our 2010 Utah Puppetry Festival this past weekend a big success! We had a ton of fun and made some new friends, and we hope that you did too! A very special thanks to the SCERA Center for the Arts for hosting the festival. Thank you to all the teachers for their preparation and knowledge.

The Great Puppet Follies – Puppet Variety show had record attendance Saturday evening at the wonderful theater in the SCERA. We’d like to thank Nat Reed and his SCERA team for their management of the lights, sound, and stage. And, of course, we are so thankful for all of the performers, especially Kerry Summers, and our headliner Freddie Spencer, for their wonderful performances and hard work.

The Daily Herald has a short video review of the Festival: SCERA hosts puppetry festival

Check here at UtahPuppetry.com regularly for other puppetry events and guild activities throughout the year, and we’ll see you all next year at the SCERA Center for the Arts for PuppetFest 2011!

  1. Thank you to everyone who made our 19th Annual Puppetry Festival a success. We had 28 registered workshop attendees, and 123 attended our Puppet Follies, Kerry Summers, and Freddie Spencer performance. My crew enjoyed it as well. Can’t wait until next year. Want to start planning soon.
    Congrats to us all.
