Workshops and Follies 2016 FINAL revised

Dear Guild Members and Friends of Puppetry,

If, like me, you are wondering what to do with all those plastic eggs left over from the Easter Egg hunt. Well, we have a great suggestion! Join the Puppetry Arts Guild of Utah for the 25th Annual Puppetry Workshop and Follies on Saturday, April 16, at the SCERA Center (745 South State, Orem) for one of many fun workshops we have lined up to share with you. This simple marionette can be constructed in just under an hour with time to practice some awesome moves to show at the follies later that day.

There will also be a “Wanna-Be” puppet making class for everyone. Just bring a stuffed animal/critter with a head and neck large enough that you can get your fist through it and a long sock. Joe will have mouth plates built ahead of time to streamline the process. You will walk away with a fun wide-mouth style puppet. Just visit your local second-hand/thrift store and find that perfect “wanna-be” puppet candidate (or go through your kids’ toy box and give new life to an otherwise discarded favorite).

There will be classes on how to make your puppets come alive, cable control foam puppet heads, sock puppets, paper bag puppets, paper mache puppets, and much more.

Just open the attached schedule of the day and registration form then mark your calendars so you can join us for a day of “Puppet Fun” and “Puppet Follies.”

Hope to see you there.

    • Eunice,
Sorry, wish I could tell you. If anyone has preregistered it was through the SCERA box office. I would suggest that you check with Nat or Joe to see if they have any info.
      Thanks,
      Carla
