18th Annual Puppetry Festival
Welcome to the
18th Annual Utah Puppetry Festival,

“Bringing Puppets to Life“
Each year the Puppetry Arts Guild of Utah hosts a Puppetry Festival where members teach a number of classes on puppetry topics, including basic puppetry performance techniques, as well as advanced puppet building, ventriloquism, and puppet use in education. This year we are also offering teacher re-licensure points.
In conjunction with the workshops, the guild also produces a Puppet Variety Show, called the Great Puppet Follies, featuring performances by puppeteers from all over Utah.
We are also pleased to announce that The Stringman, Freddie Spencer, will be our headline performer. Freddie has been a professional puppeteer and creator of puppets for more than 50 years. He worked for Sid and Marty Kroft on television shows H.R. Puff N’ Stuff, Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, and Land of the Lost. In addition he opened his own live action special effects company, Image Creators, and worked on such films as Beetlejuice, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, and Team America, World Police.
Join us for the 18th Annual Utah Puppetry Festival on Saturday April 25th, 2009 at the pARTnership Gallery in Salt Lake City, Utah (534 South 500 West, Salt Lake City, UT 84101).
