Dear Guild Members and Friends of Puppetry,

Mark your calendars now for the 26th Annual Puppetry Festival. It will be held at the SCERA Center for the Arts, 745 South State Street, Orem, UT, on Saturday, April 18, starting with registration at 8:00 am. There will be a series of 30-minute mini demonstration classes starting at 9:00 am including simple puppets, manipulation tips, wannabe puppets, carving foam, and more. See the attached class outline above.

The SCERA will offer a puppet show at 11 am then back for more demonstration mini classes, lunch, and followed by your choice of a 2-hour Make-n-Take class in the afternoon.

Following the afternoon classes there will be door prizes to be given away, and the Follies will start off with one of Dona’s beautiful dragons—in her memory. Guild members will then present 5 – 7 minute skits showing a variety of puppet styles.

Non-Guild members are invited to attend this all-day event for $8/person or $25/family (up to 5 members). This includes all classes and the follies. The puppet show offered by the SCERA Center is $3/person—tickets are available at the box office. Current Guild Members can attend the workshop and Follies for FREE. As always, the SCERA puppet show is $3/person.

To register for this event, simply call the SCERA Center for the Arts box office at 801 225-ARTS (2787) or stop by the box office, 745 South State Street, Orem UT.

  1. I’m trying to get in touch with someone in Cache Valley, UT to hire them for a puppet show for adults with special needs.
