Salzburg Marionettes Presenting “The Sound of Music” at BYU

Guild Members and Friends of Puppetry,

One of the last remaining full-time professional marionette troupes in Europe, the Salzburg Marionette Theatre returns to BYU for an encore presentation of their beloved production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music. Performed in the intimacy of the Pardoe Theatre by 24-inch puppets against a lavish, miniature set, recorded voices and music bring the charm of this old-world tradition to life in a very exciting way.

Shows start Wednesday, January 26 and go through Saturday, January 30. Go to
for times and to get tickets. Only a few seats left.

The show is in the Pardoe Theater in the Harris Fine Arts Center on the BYU campus.

Saw the show on Tuesday. It was AWESOME!!

    • Karen,
I was also surprised with the ticket prices when we got our tickets for Tuesday’s performance. However, I was not trying to mislead anyone–The original brochure on the BYU arts page I took this info from listed the price of tickets as $15. Perhaps this was the price if you ordered tickets back in November when they first came on sale.

      • Thank you. I just wondered if there was some kind of a discount code that I missed somewhere. We saw the show and it was excellent. Well worth the ticket price.
