On March 14, 2020 the Laughing Cactus Puppetry Guild, serving members in St. George and there about, is planning their annual puppetry workshop at the DiFiore Center, 307 N Main, St. George, UT. They will start out with workshops for kids from 10 – 11:30. Then from 1:00 to 4:00 pm you can help make/finish seagull parade puppets – not a “make-n-take” but helpful support for a local project (and a great learning event). Puppet performances start at 4:00 pm. To register or for any questions, call the DiFiore Center (435-673-4206)
Lorie added this note to all:
Hello- so here is the lineup for this years Puppet Workshop down south. I’m keeping it simple- a morning for kids making their choice- sock, glove, maybe wannabees, scarf marionettes. The afternoon we will work on making some seagull parade puppets. Then a performance. Simple. Love to see anyone who wants to venture down this way!!

April 21
Northern Utah Puppetry Guild and Brigham City Fine Arts Center at 58 S 100 West, Brigham City, UT, are offering a workshop to finish up some of the puppet projects we have all started and then put aside for many reasons. It’s called “Sit, Chat, and Finish That” starting at 9:00 am to 11:00 am. It will be just a fun day of finishing up at least one puppet project you have started or need some help to complete. Then for everyone there will be a fun workshop from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. We can break for a sack lunch or order out, and return for puppet shows at 1:15 pm. If you would like to perform, call Susan (435 723-2487) and plan to perform a short 10-15 minute show. The puppet museum will be open in the afternoon also.
For more information on the recycled bottle puppets go to www.bcfineartscenter.org They’re asking $2 per person or $5 per family to cover costs. Also, please register online to ensure enough supplies are available for everyone.
